If you need a private CFP tutor try emailing mbrandeburg@bridgeway-financial.com. I have a very good private tutor who helped me pass the March 2008 exam on my first try.

I am looking to take the CFP exam in March 2009. I have taken it before (March 2005) and did not pass. i am really nervous and want to find the best review materials/class.
i have taken DePauls and Dearborn Financial last time. did anyone think one way or another about Ken Zahn or Kaplan's virtual class room?

Stephanie,
I attended Ken Zahn's live review class this past June in Los Angeles. I blogged about my experience here:

Results from the July 2008 exam are due late next week, so I don't yet know how I did, though I feel fairly confident that I passed.

Bill,
I read your blog and couldn't agree more. I took Ken's class in Atlanta and think you thoroughly covered the experience.
I agree with you that 1) I felt extremely well prepared and am fairly confident that I passed and that 2) regarless of the outcome, I felt Ken's class was well worth the money and was critical in being prepared for the test.
Good luck on your results this week.

Hi Stephanie,
I just received my exam results from the July 08 exam and am happy to say that I passed on my first attempt!
This is largely in part due to the excellent instructional courses and materials through Keir Educational Resources. I took the Live Review course in NY and found it invaluable. Another great thing about them is they respond personally to questions and have I think 4 instructors that tend to the student email questions. I especially received a lot of wisdom from James Tissot and Debra Sawyer, the lead instructors.
I don't know much about the other programs, but I do highly recommend Keir for their wisdom of not only the exam material, but also their experience with the psychology, emotions, and physical toll that go along with sitting for the exam. It was grueling----good luck!
